1) Completed research for a Ph.D. degree at Rabindra Bharati University on Modern Aesthetics, under the guidance of Dr. S.K. Nandi.
2) Undertook research as a recipient of the Indo-Hungarian Educational Exchange Programme Fellowship (2006-07) provided by the Government of Hungary, along with a Long Term Scholarship courtesy of the U.G.C., focusing on "A Scenario of Hungarian Painting in the 19th and 20th Century: An Aesthetic Apperception," under the guidance of Arpad Szabados.
3) Completed research as a recipient of the Minor Research Fellowship from the U.G.C. in 2011 on "Aesthetic Vision of Rabindranath Tagore."
4) Completed research under the Emeritus Fellowship from the U.G.C. in 2013-14 on "Significance of Colour in Creation: An Aesthetic Apperception."

Life

Dr. Sinha was born into a Bengali family on August 14, 1953, in West Bengal, India, in a tranquil village environment characterized by simplicity and peace. He initially pursued a Bachelor of Science in Biology at Midnapur College, under Calcutta University, West Bengal, and then attended Kharagpur Homoeopathic Medical College & Hospital, accredited by the Council of Homoeopathic Medicine, Government of West Bengal. A significant turning point in his life as an artist came during his education at the Government College of Art & Craft in Kolkata, followed by a postgraduate degree in Painting from Rabindra Bharati University. He also earned there a PhD in Modern Aesthetics, under the guidance of Dr. S.K. Nandi. During his postgraduate studies, he received training in Fresco Painting, including Jaipur Fresco, Italian Fresco, and Tempera Fresco, at Banasthali Vidyapith G.V. Mahavityalaya in Jaipur, under the mentorship of National Artist Devki Nandan Sharma. Additionally, Dr. Sinha studied the French language at Kharagpur Indian Institute of Technology and a training on Restoration of Painting at the Hungarian University of Fine Arts in Budapest. Under the guidance of Professor Ashesh Mitra, he explored critical techniques and gained valuable insights into expressing intuition and creativity. Dr. S.K. Nandi, a world-renowned expert in philosophy and aesthetics, served as his research advisor, helping him deepen his understanding of the essence of art and creativity.

Artistic styles and influences

Dr. Sinha has gained valuable knowledge through practice and a deep understanding of the history of art and aesthetics. However, he has never been swayed by any individual artist or specific art movement. He firmly believes that "art is uniquely individual." Dr. Sinha is confident in his own creative individuality and has developed a distinctive personal style of expression.
